Medical Illustration Sourcebook

We are thrilled to be on the cover of the 2014 Medical Illustration Sourcebook. The featured image was developed as part of a campaign art concept study involving toll like receptors on immune cells. The client wanted a warm hopeful atmosphere and a combination of accurate and representative structures, such as the space-filling receptors on the glassy cell membrane. We focused on seamlessly combining all of the requested elements into an in-the-moment snapshot of the microenvironment that feels animated even as an image.
