Animation communicates so well because it not only shows the physical world – it also injects copy and design elements into that world. And by that we don’t mean just adding them on top of the animation, but rather treating them as part of the scene.

These elements, handled properly, move in the same natural rhythms as the physical reality represented, reinforcing the images or even providing an exciting counterpoint to them. They create mood and excitement as they convey technical information.
